"I Saved the King"
The Turnbull crested badge is the belt bearing the motto "I Saved the King" encircling the head of the turned bull. (Read the legend in History.) This is the crest of the Turnbull people at large. Anyone who declares allegiance to Turnbull may wear the badge. Click on the badge below for a larger view. (To get a copy of the badge, consider joining our Discussion Forum.) Heraldry is an important part of our history. The Court of Lord Lyons controls the registry of Coats of Arms. Below is one rendition of the Turnbull Coat of Arms. You will see many others but they nearly all have the bull to represent the legendary turning of the bull and the helmet. The helmet denotes the lands known as the Borders. (Read History)
